Are you a first responder, designated first aider, event steward, ambulance care assistant? Why not upgrade your skills and qualification to an FPOS Intermediate Award? Are you a company looking to train a number of your staff in a highly respected and well recognised first aid qualification?
The FPOS-I award is accredited by Edexcel and IHCD and endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. This means it has been specifically designed and developed to meet the needs of today’s society and the learners of today.
The award is widely used by private and NHS ambulance services, fire and rescue services, government departments and community first responder schemes throughout the UK today. It is internationally recognised and also recognised by the Security Industry Authority as part of the licensing criteria for Close Protection Operatives.

The award is delivered over 5 days, part classroom based and part scenario based with ongoing assessment over the 5 days. There is a formal end exam and practical assessments on the last day.
Our course is delivered and assessed by registered and skilled paramedics who can incorporate a touch of real life to the content and scenarios. It covers all aspects of first aid normally covered in an HSE First Aid at work course, and incorporates extra skills such as removing crash helmets, immobilisation, medical and trauma emergencies, assisting the paramedic, extrication of the trapped patient and using oxygen and AED’s.
